This is the first thing in a while that I've written beforehand on paper. With a pen. It felt a little strange at the time! Anyway, I'm doing what I can to make this feel a little more personal.

This site has been around since March 2005 in various styles and designs. The current midnight hills look is because I do the majority of my work for here outside of daylight hours. There is a lot of pre-history going all the way back to sometime in 2000, but that's not for here.

In these all invasive, multi-media, option filled days, everyone has a blog. When I first started this site, the internet wasn't in the majority of homes, wasn't speedy... YouTube didn't even exist!

The site was only really supposed to be a place to write in - get my thoughts somewhere. It wasn't really a diary, or what would now be considered a blog - these days, the longer texts are few and far between and the site relies on links and little thoughts to stay alive.

In my day job, I teach a class of 9-11 year olds, which is why the entries can occasionally be spaced out more than I'd like. Teaching certainly takes up a lot of my life - rightly so - but the balance at the moment is tipped way over to the teaching part of the scale.

Anyway, that's me.
